Best Outdoor Indica’s
Lava Freeze (feminized) – Super Sativa Seed Club
Lava Freeze has a strong genetic background which makes her pretty vigorous and resilient. She is strong enough to be grown in temperate climates almost anywhere in the world (except for the most Nordic or Southern regions). Her fast flowering time is very useful for growers that are living in a temperate climate, where the daylight hours and temperatures quickly diminish during autumn. She is suitable to be grown in the Netherlands and at similar latitudes in Canada/USA but also in the UK, Germany and so on. Outdoors her leaves can get beautiful reddish, purple tones and sometimes even completely black colours. It will give the flowers an amazing bag appeal. Of course, she also thrives in a controlled indoor environment where all the environmental conditions are closely regulated and monitored. In here you can get her potency up to a level that will match some of the strongest strains you’ve ever had!
Banana Blaze (feminized) – Dutch Passion
This one is a no brainer! Budget priced at $30 for a 3 pack, it’s the ideal beginner plant! She is a compact plant which thrives without the use of complicated growth techniques or methods. This makes her perfect for beginners who have never cultivated a cannabis plant before. Growing her naturally, without complicated growth techniques has its advantages. There is less risk of things going wrong and this is ideal for novice growers. They can then focus on the most important things, such as fine-tuning the climate, light, water and food. This plant practically grows herself. An 8 week flowering time means a quicker harvest too, a nice bonus for the Canadian climate.
Blueberry (feminized) – Dutch Passion
Blueberry is an Indica dominant strain with one of the fruitiest flavour profiles you will ever have the pleasure to enjoy. The sweet aroma and delicious flavour of fresh blueberries ensure that this is unmistakably one of the finest and tastiest cannabis experiences. It’s like eating candy, very addictive and joyful! No wonder this legendary strain was used as the genetic foundation for so many of today’s most popular modern cannabis varieties.
Blueberry buds can be compact and very resinous. THC levels of around 20% are not unusual. It is a vigorous plant with large fan leaves. Blueberry can yield very well when grown in optimum conditions. She has a favourable calyx-to-leaf ratio which makes her easy to trim. Great backyard grow, that always impresses!
Best Outdoor Sativa’s
First off, what does “sativa” mean? Sativa cannabis plants tend to be tall, stringy plants, with long thin leaves, normally found in dry/hot climates around the globe. The sativa effect tends to be more uplifting, energetic and euphoric. Not ideal for a couch night, but perfect for the person who wants to get stuff done! Sativa’s are often used by those trying to focus on a task, or simply don’t like that couch lock feel.
Skywalker Haze (feminized) – Dutch Passion
Dutch Passion Skywalker was a popular variety that was introduced in the late 90’s. Originally this variety was made by crossing two Dutch Passion’s classics: Blueberry x Mazar. This indica dominant plant with its sturdy growth pattern and fruity notes, in combination with an awesome colour palette, made this variety a go-to product for both home and commercial growers.
Strawberry Cough (feminized) – Dutch Passion
Strawberry Cough genetics have an almost mythical origin and a unique, highly sought-after effect. The legendary genetics are partly North American and partly European. She is a hybrid cannabis strain which leans more to the Sativa side. The plants are beautiful to look at, some special phenotypes display purple hues in the buds and these are our favourites. Decades after introduction, Strawberry Cough feminized seeds remain a firm favourite with connoisseur repeat growers and staff. The fresh smell and sweet taste of strawberries is sure to leave a smile on your face.
Best Outdoor Hybrids
Kosher Haze (feminized) – Super Sativa Seed Club
This is a very funky cross of two plants we have had in our collection for many years. However this is more of a ‘new school’ type of cross. The Karel’s Haze male passes on some particularly rich gassy/lime aromas to the buds. The Kosher Kush female has been in our collection for almost 10 years, she has been a favourite of many club/family members. She is a real pleasure to grow and very forgiving in that she can handle temperature swings like a champ and won’t fail to deliver high yields. These heavy yields combine with a very intense earthy and soil-like terpene profile.
Passion Fruit (feminized) – Dutch Passion
Passion Fruit is a really vigorous 50/50 hybrid variety which ensures buds of premium potency levels. THC levels can reach great heights if this variety is perfectly cared for. This variety is known to be quite resilient and forgiving. She will have very sticky buds so be aware of nurturing your plants during late flowering as you can literally become covered in sticky resin. Watch out if you brush your clothes against this aromatic fruity variety in late bloom – you will retain the powerful fruity scent of this potent feminized seed variety for quite some time!
White Widow (feminized) – Dutch Passion
White Widow is mainly known for her potent all-white buds that make the high so incredibly potent. In terms of fragrance and flavour profile, White Widow can best be described as spicy and piney, with many different underlying notes enhancing the aroma. In some phenotypes, this will be a citrus undertone, with sour, fresh and fruity characteristics. In others, it may move more towards the diesel end of the spectrum, making her smell a bit more gaseous or metallic. All in all, this unique and complex aroma falls particularly more under the heading of real old-school weed!
High THC strains
Hifi 4G (feminized) – Dutch Passion
HiFi 4G has an unmistakably pungent Kush aroma. Most phenotypes will generally smell like a strong American Kush. This strain is most like an OG Kush, with a spicy, earthy aroma and sharp notes of citrus and coniferous trees. This variety has a wide variety of terpenes and both Alpha-Pinene and Beta-Pinene, plus the more common Myrcene and Limonene terpenes. All are strongly represented in the terpene profile. Hi-fi 4G fills the room with a pungent weed smell in no time.
Kerosine Krash (feminized) – Dutch Passion
Kerosene Krash has super sticky buds full of trichomes. The strain gets its name from the strong pungent odour that seems to get everywhere and go through any bag! It’s similar to the pungent smell of gasoline/kerosene. Some phenotypes lean heavily towards the strong diesel/gassy side of the terpenes spectrum. These are our personal favourites, well worth looking out for!
Meringue (feminized) – Dutch Passion
Meringue is a high-quality strain. She might not be the biggest overall yielder but the level of quality is definitely a reason to keep growing her again and again. Expect solid yields of stunning looking buds. Although the flowers can be a bit smaller, they are rock-hard and thus will still put down some weight on the scale. When handled well she will deliver you some of the most beautiful looking nuggets on the planet. The dark hues in the flowers and leaves makes the white layer of resin really pop out for an eye-catching bag appeal.
Best Hash Strains
Bubba Island Kush (feminized) – Dutch Passion
Our Bubba hybrid guarantees very white blooms that are completely covered with a thick layer of sticky trichomes. In addition to a high THC content, this strain has an amazing mix of terpenes. In general, she smells slightly tart. Gassy/fuel scents are blended with earth, citrus and floral notes. She really is very tasty and for real Kush lovers this is a ‘must grow’ strain!
Frisian Dew (feminized) – Dutch Passion
Frisian Dew won 1st place in 2008 at the Highlife Cup in the Netherlands. More recently, in the 2018 Homegrown Cup, Frisian Dew took 3rd place in the ‘Dutch Hash’ category. She has been an important part of the outdoor feminized seed collection for many years and still knows how to beat other new varieties with ease.
Frisian Dew is a perfect hybrid cannabis plant with a fresh, fruity, floral taste and aroma. It can vary from fruity (forest fruits) and slightly lemon-like to more pine-like and lavender. Some phenotypes smell a bit more like earth, ammonia and herbs – a characteristic from her Skunk parents. Her terpene profile is unique and provides a pleasant smoking experience. A beautiful outdoor feminized variety that also tastes great!
The buds of Frisian Dew are large and colourful!
Growing For Looks!
Some growers out there don’t smoke or use cannabis, but love growing a challenging, yet beautiful plan that can really be a focal point in the garden! High Thc and yield isn’t necessary to have a successful grow, and these beauties are highly sought after for a reason!
Purple #1 (feminized) – Dutch Passion
Purple#1® is the world famous classic original purple variety that dates back to the early 1980’s and has been treasured for it’s uniquely beautiful purple colourings and great high. Used extensively by other seed banks for breeding, our original Purple#1® plant is a 50/50 sativa/indica mix. The indica parentage comes from a very special purple Afghani which was carefully crossed in Holland with some top indica and sativa strains to create a strong outdoor plant that is fully adapted to the Dutch climate.
Frisian Duck (feminized) – Dutch Passion
Frisian Duck grows with a stabilized natural leaf deformity. This produces a natural ‘webbing’ between the individual leaflet ‘fingers’ on the cannabis leaves. This makes her difficult to recognize as cannabis. Most people expect to see the normal leaf shape and wouldn’t give her a second look. The unusual leaf shape, especially during early growth, delivers natural cannabis camouflage which the outdoor grower can use to great advantage.
Our Best Autoflowers
Auto-whatmnow!? Cannabis grows in many forms, sativa, indica, and in this case, cannabis ruderalis! Ruderalis grows in the northern hemisphere, and due to an extremely short growing season due to the northern hemisphere, this cannabis sub species triggers the flowering stage of growth, after only a few weeks. Autoflower cannabis plants are plants that will enter the “flowering” stage, irregardless of the lighting conditions. Which means you can grow autoflowers on a 18/6 or 20/4 lighting schedule, for entire duration of the grow. No more 12/12’s like their photoperiod cousins!
“Why does this matter bro!?”
The advantages of auto-flowers are pretty awesome and unique. If you’re growing indoors, you can have plants at all different stages of growth, in the same tent, under the same schedule. “Perpetual harvesting” is the term you’ll want to search for some strategies, but basically you would plant a new run of seeds every 2 weeks, ensuring a steady supply of product every other week.
18/6 20/4 light schedules also allow your plant to take in all that extra light, which helps make for larger and denser buds.
Outdoor autos are an awesome choice for those who want to finish their entire grow in 10-13 weeks, before there are any end of season pest and mold issues. If you’re growing in a crowded area, it’s a great idea to avoid being cross pollinated by your neighbours, as your autos will be finished right around the time everyone else’s pollen sacs are developing!
Okay okay, enough talk, let me take you to our frostiest autos!!
Fat Pete’s Cookies (auto) – Super Sativa Seed Club
In the 1980’s Dutch cannabis breeders wanted to improve European quality levels with the infusion of new USA cannabis genetics. Some emerging USA strains were reputed to have some particularly high quality and unusual genetics, so Karel sent his friend fat Pete to NYC.
After harassing High Times for way too long, fat Pete got his hands on some seeds called Williams Wonder. This strain, amongst others like Mexican Rudy, was used to create the first ever auto-flower strain called “Low Ryder”. So you could say that the Super Sativa auto-flower gene bank is based on the same winning foundations as the original Low Ryder.
To create Fat Pete’s Cookies they crossed a very fruity and potent auto-flower with Auto Cookies. The outcome was crossed with our Auto Creeper. The best plants were selected and backcrossed to stabilize this strain. The result is a very productive and potent auto-flower strain with a wonderfully strong effect. It’s clear that there are two pheno’s, one is a bit more Cookie and the other one way more fruity.
The plants can grow really tall (1 – 2 m) with fat, frosty blooms and a deliciously sweet taste. She’s very bushy with a lot of side branches and therefore single plants can produce bumper harvests. The Super Sativa test team was over the moon about this strain and the fruity tropical pheno in particular was much appreciated.
Blackberry Kush (auto) – Dutch Passion
Auto Blackberry Kush is one of those autoflower strains that many growers fall in love with. The beautiful bright purple buds look so special that it is hard not to love them! It is a compact indica-dominant plant that usually produces plants with purple buds. She belongs to the ‘Blue-Family’ because of her parents and the special fruity Blueberry aroma. These Blueberry genes provide the sweet and fruity notes in the complex aroma. The Hash plant provides the dominant Kush fragrance with earth and pine-like notes in this crossing.
Gorilla Glue #4 (auto) – FastBuds
Gorilla Glue Auto’s buds will be chunky and dense, with a heavy resin production that causes your fingers to stick together like super glue. The buds are dark green, with swollen pointy calyx that swell wrapped in bright orange hairs. A truly impressive amount of trichomes that would make excellent cup winning extracts hands down.
Gelato (auto) – FastBuds
Gelato has become a flagship for quality flavour since its creation in California, and our Gelato Auto is no different. A well-structured stable plant with distinct ice cream flavours, making it a great choice for extractions. And with lab reports boasting up to 26% THC, Gelato is without a doubt the most powerful strain we’ve ever created.
Our Best CBD strains!
What is CBD? Cannabidiol (CBD) strains of cannabis contain all the active ingredients, medical and otherwise of their delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) cousins, but without the actual “high”. Wha…??? Okay, basically pot that doesn’t get you stoned, but gives you that nice body feel. The medicinal uses are seemingly endless for CBD, thankfully the lab rats at Dutch Passion have put in that labour for you, and we’ve got a strain to “cure what ails ya”, and you’ll do it in style with our recommendations, take a peek!

At the end the leaves show long slender fingers. Cannabis (or concentrates) produced from this variety is rich in CBD and delivers a strong body effect.
CBD Charlotte’s Angel (fem) – Dutch Passion
CBD Charlotte’s Angel won her first prize right after her introduction in 2018 at the Highlife Cannabis Cup in the Netherlands, winning 1st prize in the CBD category. A year later she managed to get another 2 cups. She took 3rd prize at the Expogrow in Irun in 2019 and the same year she also came 2nd at the CBD Rich Cup in Spain. In total that’s 3 prizes from 3 different cups for this beautiful CBD rich strain!
CBD Charlotte’s Angel has a herbal aroma with notes of diesel, citrus and pine. A pungent and unique terpene profile. CBD Charlotte’s Angel® is a sativa dominant CBD variety (averaging around 10% to 16% CBD) with a very low THC content, always below 1%.
CBD Blackberry Kush (auto) – Dutch Passion
CBD Auto Blackberry Kush is a CBD rich auto-flower seed variety with THC levels usually well below 1%. With such low THC levels there is no psychoactive high. This allows you to enjoy your cannabis and get on with your day!
The cup-winning Blackberry Kush genetics give a delicious taste and aroma to this CBD seed variety. As well as rich scents of dark berries this indica dominant variety often produces plants with hues of deep purple and dark blue. It’s a beautiful variety to grow and a sweet, fruity treat to enjoy.
CBD Compassion Lime (auto) – Dutch Passion
- 1st prize CBD Weed, Highlife Cup Netherlands 2017
This CBD-rich feminized auto variety uses genetics from the photoperiod CBD Compassion® and our Californian Orange x USA Sour Diesel crossing, known as Daiquiri Lime. Ratio of CBD:THC is between 1:1 and 4:1. Usually the CBD is present in greater quantities than THC. The combined effects of high CBD and medium-THC levels create a good medical variety with strong body effects and reduced pyscho-activity compared to typical THC-rich Dutch Passion auto varieties.
